I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Zoey

I'm Available

Meet Zoey

This gorgeous girl is the biggest snuggle bug who would love to spend her days cuddled up in your lap. She is just happy to be involved in your day and will happily trot along behind you wherever you go.

Zoey is still learning what personal space is… if she fits, she sits! Because of this she might be suited to a family with children over 8 as she is a bigger breed and does like to sit on your lap. She is very gentle taking treats from your hand but gets excited for meal times and needs to be reminded to patiently sit and wait for her food.  She is generally not a jumpy dog either so younger dog savvy children who don’t mind cuddles and kisses may also be okay.

Zoey does have some separation anxiety which her foster parents are working on with her. Due to this, she would prefer an understanding family who works from home or is home most of the time and one that will work with her through her training with patience and love to get her more comfortable being independent. Sadly this sweet girl was left abandoned in a cage so she is so scared it will happen again.

She truely would love to be involved in all of life’s activities with her forever family. She absolutely loves human company and is still figuring out the world isn’t so scary when she’s alone. She may also do well with another doggie friend to keep her company.

She is doing wonderful with training basic commands. She is super food motivated and mastered sit, down and recall in a matter of minutes! She walks well on a lead, sleeps through the night on her bed and is completely toilet trained.

Zoey has the perfect mix of playful puppy bursts of energy but also loves nothing more than cuddling up with her people for a snooze!

If you’re looking for a loyal affectionate life companion, then Zoey could be the perfect girl for you! 🐾

HEALTH WAIVER:

During Zoey’s spey surgery, the veterinarian noticed that she bled more than expected for this type of routine procedure. A test was performed during surgery that measures how long it takes blood to clot. Zoey’s result showed that her blood takes much longer than normal to clot.

It needs to be noted that for any future surgeries that Zoey may be at higher risk of bleeding and the adopters vet should be notified prior to any surgeries. Apart from this Zoey has been absolutely fine after desexing and has healed well.
