Meet Truffles!
This sweet, good-natured girl is a joyful companion with a gentle heart and a zest for life. She is wonderfully affectionate with both adults and children, and once her energy needs are met, she’s more than happy to curl up on the couch or bed for some well-earned relaxation time with her people.
She is an energetic dog who truly thrives with one to two hours of exercise each day. Fetch is her absolute favourite game, and she also enjoys running nicely on leash. Thanks to her intelligence and eagerness to engage, she walks calmly on lead and has a solid understanding of basic commands such as sit, down, and stay.
She has shown some on-leash reactivity toward other dogs in the past, though this has been steadily improving. With slow, thoughtful introductions, she does well with both small and large dogs. She has settled in beautifully with her ball-loving foster brother, and she also shares the house with two cat foster siblings - while she is naturally keen to chase them, she has been making great progress with impulse control and can now approach them calmly (though supervision is still required).
In the past, she experienced some separation anxiety, but with consistent morning and evening exercise and attention, she is now comfortable sleeping through the day with her foster brother for company.
Her ideal home would be one that can meet her exercise needs - such as a home with a large backyard. She would also be a fantastic match for someone who enjoys daily running or hiking. She could be perfectly happy as an only dog or with a confident canine companion, preferably a larger breed, as her play style can be a bit boisterous.
Overall, she is a loving, energetic, and rewarding dog who will thrive with an active adopter ready to embrace both her enthusiasm and her affectionate, gentle nature.
