Temu (Mu) is a bright, switched‑on little boy who loves to be involved. While he is still shy and reserved and can take some time to come out of his shell. He now gives the funniest little nose nudging cue when he wants to play, which never fails to make us laugh. He has already learned sit, stay, inside, outside, do wee, eat, crate (for night time sleep), come here, and in the car (without running off), and he continues to pick things up quickly. He is fully toilet trained and crate trained too.
After a busy day, Temu shows his softer side by attaching himself to one special person for pats and belly scratches while he drifts off to sleep. He absolutely adores his daily playtime other dogs and has recently discovered the joy of fetch! He would definetly thrive in a house with older dogs who can continue to help him settle in and play with him.
While Temu can still become overwhelmed with lots of human interaction, he warms up gradually when given time and space. He is definetly more open to trust when outside playing. We are gently working with him on his reservations around people, and he’s learning that humans can be kind, patient, and safe. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, considering he was only a little puppy when he was dumped in bushland.
He is learning how to be a dog and is absolutely loving it, showing the the funniest and best traits of both Kelpie and Cattle Dog. With continued patience, love, and understanding, Temu will make a truly wonderful companion.
Temu deserves a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and secure for the rest of his life — and we can’t wait to see him continue to blossom.
