Hi there, I’m Scooby – a big-hearted, soft-footed, sofa-loving soul on the hunt for my forever humans - I’m a gentle, giant learning to allow myself to be loved again!
Each day with my foster family, I come out of my shell a little more. I’ve recently discovered that cuddles are pretty great, and I’ve started to show my playful side – especially when I’m rolling around the grass with my two lovely foster sisters or showing off my lolloping gallop around the yard.
I’m a social guy who loves walkies and dinnertime (two of my very favourite things), and I’m just as happy sniffing along a trail as I am snoozing the day away. I walk beautifully on lead and am calm off lead too – my manners are top notch.
While I can be a little unsure at first, I warm up quickly kindness helps a lot. I adore kids of all ages and am happiest when I’m near my people but I can be left alone to snooze the day away too. I’d love a good sized backyard to potter in – I’m a fan of the slow roam and a good sunbake.
Inside the house, I’m incredibly well-behaved. I’m toilet trained, gentle when taking food, and have excellent house manners – I prefer to leave the zoomies to the younger pups and just supervise with a wag and a smile. I can become protective of my people around larger male dogs who challenge me so need a male dog free home.
When the day is done, you’ll find me curled up beside you on the couch, ready for snuggles and maybe a movie or two.
