Rudy is sweet, spirited little dog ready to be the queen of your heart and home.
Rudy is currently living with her foster family – 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog, and 2 cats who she gets along well with.
She is a loving, people-focused companion who thrives in a home where she can be the centre of attention. She would thrive in an only pet household where she is the centre of attention or with a small breed friendly male dog.

Toilet trained and obedient – she knows the rules of the house and follows them well.

Loves belly rubs, cuddles, and naps on your lap – a true lap dog with a warm, affectionate nature.

Good with cats, with boundaries – she has a love-hate relationship with her foster cats. If they run, she may chase, but she is also content to nap beside them peacefully.
Things to note: Rudy does require some continued work on lead walking. With consistent training and patience, she will improve – she’s eager to please and learns quickly.
She’s a sweet girl looking for a forever family who will treat her like the royalty she believes she is.
HEALTH WAIVER:
Rudy has had a full mammary strip and biopsies taken. All but one of her mammary glands were benign. One gland taken was a Grade 2 common carcinoma however the vet took a good margin and removed all the cancerous tissue.
Unfortunately it is likely to come back however she could go many years or even live a full life without it re-appearing. Her new owners will need to keep an eye on any re-occuring lumps in her mammary area.
Rudy also has mild hip dysplasia in her left hind leg.
