Rosie is calm, loyal, loving and obedient. She would be an amazing family dog.

Rosie is happiest when she is with you, she loves to follow her humans around and give them cuddles on the couch. She thrives off of love and affection.

Rosie can be selective with dogs in isolated environments at first but with slow introductions she opens up very easily and loves to play with them.

Rosie is great with kids. She has a 3 human siblings who she loves to play with her and give her lots of cuddles and kisses.

Rosie is completely house trained and loves to sleep inside. She sleeps on a dog bed next to her mum.

Although Rosie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, it is under control and easily managed. She just requires a calm environment to allow her to rest as she overcomes this challenge.

Rosie would suit a household where she is the centre of attention. She would benefit from someone who is home more often than not and can shower her with lots of love, attention and time. She would also prefer another dog friend in her household to keep her company.

HEALTH WAIVER:

Rosie has undergone heartworm treatment for just over 8 months.

We have retested her 1 month after treatment ended and unfortunately it is still positive. This is common for dogs to still test positive as the heartworm protein and antigens can still be detected so soon after. Her microflaria test is negative meaning no new heartworm eggs or larvae are present. Heartworm has a lifespan of 210 days.

It is recommended that Rosie has another heartworm test in 9 months. This will be paid by Lucky Paws Dog Rescue at our approved Lucky Paws vet. If the dog is still positive Lucky Paws will pay for another round of heartworm treatment at our approved Lucky Paws vet.

Rosie also has flare ups of contact skin allergies every now and then (particularly on her feet). She had a 7 day course of Apoquel which has settled it down. If it flares up again, she will need another 7 day trial of it.
