Pretzel is a lovely boy who is still learning what life as a cherished family pet is all about. Having had limited exposure to the everyday comforts of a home, many things can feel new and overwhelming for him. Because of this, Pretzel can be a little unsure at first and will need patience, gentle guidance, and time to feel safe and settled.
He isn’t the type of dog who will immediately seek out attention or cuddles. When first arriving in a new environment, Pretzel may prefer to observe from a distance and take everything in at his own pace. With consistency, kindness, and reassurance, he will gradually begin to build trust and reveal his sweet and loyal personality.
Pretzel would thrive in a calm and understanding household, ideally with no young children or older children who can respect his space and allow him to settle in quietly. Giving him the freedom to progress at his own pace will be key to helping him grow in confidence.
He has shown that he can live peacefully alongside other animals and may benefit from the presence of a calm, confident female dog to help show him the ropes. Pretzel has also been great with cats and farm animals, making him a wonderful option for a variety of home environments. He is a quiet boy who rarely barks and settles well when left alone, showing no signs of separation anxiety.
Pretzel is not quite ready for big outside adventures yet, as being on a lead is still unfamiliar and can be a little daunting for him. For now, he will do best in a home with a secure, spacious backyard where he can explore safely and build his confidence.
Pretzel is looking for a patient and dedicated family who will invest the time in helping him feel secure and understood. With love and commitment, he has all the potential to become a deeply devoted and affectionate companion.
