Phoebe has the most beautiful heart and is looking for a patient, understanding family to help her continue learning that the world isn't such a scary place.
While we don't know much about Phoebe's past, she arrived with two little puppies so has been a mum up until recently and it’s clear she hasn't always had the easiest start to life. She is an extremely timid little girl who is slowly learning to trust people more with each passing day. Every day brings a new milestone, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch her confidence grow.
Once Phoebe forms a bond with you, she becomes your little shadow. She loves being close to her person and will happily follow you from room to room, finding comfort in your presence. As her trust grows, so does her affectionate side.
Phoebe is not yet toilet trained, but she is making wonderful progress and is learning to use puppy pads inside the house. She is also still adjusting to life beyond her comfort zone. The outdoors can feel overwhelming for her, and she currently finds walking on a lead quite scary. However, she has recently started wearing a harness and is trying her very best to build confidence with gentle encouragement and patience.
Phoebe would thrive in a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would be happy as an only dog or with a small, quiet, and gentle dog who respects her space and can help show her that the world is a safe place. Due to her sensitive nature, Phoebe would be best suited to a home with older children or adults where there is minimal noise and plenty of patience.
Phoebe isn't looking for a perfect home. She's looking for a kind one. Someone who will celebrate the small victories, give her the time she needs to feel safe, and love her for the gentle soul she is. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion whose trust is truly a gift and whose love is worth every step of the journey.
