Parsley is an adorable, sweet older girl with a gentle, sensitive nature who absolutely loves pats and belly rubs! The more affection, the better for this little lapdog.
At just 5.5kg, this little velcro pup easily finds space on the couch, which is her favourite spot to spend quality time with her people. If you love a sweet, gentle little pooch who enjoys being doted on, she could be your perfect match.
She isn’t particularly interested in toys or balls and would much rather spend her time relaxing on the couch with her favourite humans.
Parsley is making good progress with her toilet training. She knows to toilet outside but may occasionally have an accident indoors when visiting unfamiliar places. She is catching on quickly though, and with patience, gentle guidance and consistency, she’ll continue developing good toilet habits. She’s also learning useful cues such as ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘bed’.
She sleeps quietly through the night in her own bed, although if given the choice, she’d much prefer to snuggle up in bed with her humans for extra-cosy cuddles!
Parsley forms strong attachments quickly and loves having her humans nearby. She’s still learning to feel comfortable on her own and can become unsettled when separated from them. The good news is that she’s small enough to take along on many adventures! She’d happily sit on your lap at a cafe or enjoy a ride in the trolley at Bunnings. She’s also learning to walk nicely on a lead, which seems to be a relatively new experience for her. She travels well in the car and is generally quiet and relaxed during trips after given time to settle.
She gets along well with other small, calm dogs but can feel uncomfortable around dogs with lots of energy who get right in her face. She may also prefer having her humans’ attention to herself, so a home without very young children or overly boisterous dogs may be the best fit.
Parsley would suit a home where someone is around most of the time, working from home or retired. She is an indoor dog, with outdoor trips for toilet breaks and walks, rather than being left outside on her own.
She is such a sweetheart and needs kind, gentle people who understand her sensitive nature and are happy to give her the love and affection she deserves. People who’ll offer reassurance and gentle encouragement as she builds her confidence and independence. In return she will make a wonderful little companion who has so much love to give.
