Obi is tiny 3.5kg boy with whole lot of confidence! He is full of energy and easy to fall in love with.
He gets along well with small dogs but is unsure of medium and big dogs. He would suit a dog who is just as playful and excited about life as he is. Obi wouldn’t suit an older dog as he always tries to get the other dog to play which may be annoying to some.
He has been absolutely loving playing with his foster sister (miniature dachshund) and is obsessed with toys.
He has had a very hard life but isn't letting anything stop him. He loves playing in the grass and sunshine.
He hasn't been crying when left home without a human but he has had another dog with him each time.
He sleeps through the night in his bed and has a cute little snore. He loves cuddling in his carer's arms and having a snooze.
Obi is perfect for someone who wants a dog with sass in a pint sized body!
HEALTH WAIVER:
Obi has 3 health waivers, for more information please read below.
Obi has a valgus (angular limb) deformity, this is where the paw turns outwards from the wrist. It is likely from a premature closure of the distal ulna growth plate causing a bowing of the radius. While he has no mobility issues at the moment, he may be susceptible to early onset arthritis later on in life.
He also has Exophthalmos (bulging) of his right eye - The cause of this could not be determined but it did appear that his right eyeball was bigger than his left. When he first came into care, he had an untreated ulcer - this has now cleared up but his right eye will need monitoring.
Obi has dental crowding and will require regular yearly dental checks.
