Hi There!
I am Nala, a 19 kg curious former outback girl who isn’t afraid of anything and eager to find my furever home! I have been getting used to my foster home and can confidently say that I am a quick learner with a fantastic attitude and temperament (but that round thing that moves alone and vacuums without anybody telling it what to do kind of freaks me out)! I’m very good with my toileting and have not had a single accident.
I am attentive and always looking to please my foster humans, and my basic obedience skills are a testament to my eagerness to learn.
I have been practicing sit, stay, come and other fundamental commands and my foster humans and foster fur brothers are very impressed with my progress. I like to try and follow my humans everywhere and I can’t help but listen to them with my cute ears and head tilt.
In addition to being an obedient girl, I am an excellent companion. I love to snuggle up for affection and playtime. My foster humans have been practicing walkies with me in their backyard to get my exercise and burn off some energy. If you are a solo adventurer or active family I will fit right in, but I am not suited for a sedentary lifestyle.
Being food motivated is helping me learn new things, but it can be hard to concentrate because playing is just so much fun! Basic command training is more effective after play, but also when most hungry – which is usually in the morning.
I also enjoy playing with my foster brothers; they are big, but I am fast! They only catch me when I let them, and then I am off again!! A family with another dog will give me a playmate – I really love male dog friends. I would love children, but they should be older because when I get a little excited when I play.
My favourite chew item is an antler – I take it everywhere I go and gnaw away at it as I lay down and relax. I'm still a pup so need one to chew throughout the day.
