Kirra is a lovely, sweet girl who loves to give you cuddles. Kirra is a very timid dog especially of males so can take some time to warm up to new people.
She had a rough start at life which left her with badly mattered hair around her neck. She now has a new haircut and it is feeling a lot better and her hair will grow back in no time. She is a smaller sized German Shepherd but thinks she is the biggest dog in the room!
She is great with other dogs and spends her day playing/wrestling with her friend Archie. She loves playing with her toys or ball but also loves a good nap on the couch.
She has met our cat Harley and has been good with him, just has not had much interaction as the cat is in a different area of the house.
She knows how to sit and lie down, just working on staying and not getting too excited. She is toilet trained, just had a few accidents when she first came to us.
I think she would prefer to be home with someone who would not be away for long hours but has been doing well when left at home without humans. She needs regular brushing to avoid any future knotted hair.
She would be a great friend for another dog but would also be very happy with solo attention if an only dog.
She has not been around younger children yet however older kids are recommended as she can be boisterous once comfortable with her family.
