I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Jay Jay

We're happy to tell you that Jay Jay has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Hi all, I am Jay Jay - a beautiful pup with an enormous amount of love to give to my forever family - fur and human!

My foster family say that I am a typical staffy pup with a playful and loving personality! I do like company, but I am confident on my own with a fur family member also. Whilst I can happily entertaintain myself, I like to know that I have company nearby.

My favourite things are playing with are my sister and my foster fur family. I am still navigating the cats in my home and learning how to enjoy playing with them. I am learning that chickens dont approve of puppies chasing them, and goats are not too impressed with our general presence. But I love them all anyway! I love going for car rides and cant wait to start going for big walks when my needles are done.

I love my foster humans and thrive on their affection. I know that I am ok if I have another fur baby to snuggle with should my human family need to leave me alone for periods of time.

I am just learning the art of tug o war, can sit for my food and most other times when I am asked to do so. I am learning to come when called and I am starting to get the hang of this toileting business (I still need some help though).

I can't wait to meet my furever family! I promise I will be the most loyal and loving pup ever!

HEALTH WAIVER:

Jay Jay has mild Knuckling of his front legs also known as Carpal Laxity Syndrome - the cause is not known (no matter what someone on the internet says) but may be related to unbalanced growth, poor muscle tone (as expected in babies), or weakness between the flexor and extensor muscle groups. Basically the wrists in the front legs knuckle outwards.

In some puppies who didn't have a great start and come into rescue underweight seem to be affected when they start on higher-quality diets.

It is solely from having poor nutrition with the breeder/owner and then they are put on a high quality diet causing rapid growth.

The good news is that most dogs come through this unscathed in their own time (typically in 1-2 months) as long as they're on a balanced diet. Male puppies seem to be more affected due to their more rapid growth and that has been our direct experience with foster puppies.
