Most of Jeli’s life she was chained up and received little to no training. She is now absolutely loving all the attention she is receiving. She is currently learning not to jump up on you for affectionate and is responding very well.
Jeli will need continued training to become the best girl possible. She is incredibly loyal and will let you know when unwanted strangers appear. She would do well in a home with older or no children as she doesn’t realise her size. Jeli would be an ideal companion for a single female or couple wanting a fiercely loyal dog. She is unsure of men at first so any men in the home need to be patient, understanding and allow her time to warm to you. Sadly Jeli has already been returned to the pound a number of times so it’s important for whoever adopts this beautiful girl that they are committed and remember the 3/3/3 rule.
Jeli is crate trained and toilet trained but would prefer to snuggle on the lounge with you. Jeli is very smart and knows basic commands, like sit, wait, shake hands and she even waits for the right command before she eats her food. She would be happy in a home with another dog or as an only pet with someone home often.
She loves kids but it’s recommended they are 12 and over, due to her size and that fact she gets excited. Jeli needs secure 6ft fencing to keep her safe.
While Jeli has been with cats in the past she can be quite playful and in their space so at this time we recommend a home with no cats unless they don’t mind hyperactive large dogs and can stand their own ground.
