Hi, I'm Gunner, a bouncy, loveable, affectionate little ball of energy.
I am a sweetheart that has a lot of love to give you, however my rocky start means I might need a little bit of extra care and attention. I was found in a crate on the side of a rural road with my female doggy friend. Because of this, my foster mum isn't too sure of the environment I've come from. It took me a while to warm up to my much bigger doggy foster sister, but with time and patience we now get along. I also stayed with some pesky cats for a few days and appeared to be ok with them too.
I have probably been with another dog for my entire life and am going to miss my doggy girl that I was found with, so having another small dog at home would be great. I may not have ever been left alone, so I will much prefer to be with someone who's home often. I also need to learn that most strangers are lovely and I don't need to bark at them, but I'm sure you'll be able to teach me that quickly as I'm still young and I love my food! I love my people so much, I'll snuggle you to sleep, roll for a pat, greet you at the door and do zoomies on your bed when I wake up because I'm so excited to see you after my big sleep!
It's been a bit of a chaotic journey for me in the first year/s of my life so I'm really looking forward to finding my furever home with someone that understands my dachshaund traits, has patience and knows that I'll love on them forever.
