Fern is a sweet but shy girl. She has not been given much love in her short life, because of this Fern is very timid, reserved and nervous around new people and situations.
Fern must have another dog in her home, she is good with male or female dogs but they must be over 15kg - she is not suitable with small dogs. She absolutely loves to play especially chase as she is a sighthound.
She has got good manners and is very gentle when taking food. She has a beautiful temperament and a gentle soul - the kind of soul who is grateful to get a second chance.
Fern has enjoyed playing with a ball and this has helped her to form an attachment to her people.
Having another dog has greatly increased her social interactions and is now coming up for cuddles more and more. It was lovely to see her zooming with Blaze (another rescue foster dog).
Fern is food motivated and loves her treats making basic training a breeze. She walks well on lead and is good in the car. She is toilet trained and knows how to use the doggy door.
Fern has been outside most of her life and is really enjoying being inside with her family. She will sleep soundly at night in her dog bed.
She will require secure 5-6ft fencing to keep her safe.
Fern requires a family that can give her lots of love and have the capacity to help build her confidence with humans.
