Meet Ella – Your New Best Friend!
Ella is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Border Collie x Cattle Dog with a heart full of love to give. She absolutely adores human companionship and will be your loyal shadow, always by your side.
Since coming into our home, she has settled in quickly and shown just how loving and devoted she is. She’s great with other dogs (though she may take a day or two getting use to her new friend).
Ella is full of personality—she’s playful, a little goofy, and completely obsessed with toys, especially balls! Yet is very happy to lay at your feet just to be close. Ella is a sweet and chatty girl who loves to greet you with excited conversations, especially when you arrive home! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, adorable pup who will shower you with affection and keep you entertained, Ella might just be the perfect match.
Ella would thrive in a home where her humans are around most of the time or with a calm, easygoing dog who can be her gentle companion. Ella is good around young kids but can sometimes get a little overwhelmed so ideally would suit a family with older children. Ella knows basic commands like sit, down and stay- ongoing training would be ideal.
HEALTH WAIVER: Ella has an occasional lameness in her L hind leg. There is no draw sign or joint swelling so our vet believes it to be a soft tissue injury. An X-ray had shown no abnormalities. Soft tissues injuries can take longer to heal. She has been on Meloxicam and doing better every day and will soon come off this medication. She will require a low/medium energy home as excessive exercise can cause her occasional lameness.
