Eddie is a gentle little soul who is still learning what it means to feel safe and live a normal, happy life as a dog.
He is extremely nervous and timid, and for now he’s often happiest watching family life from a comfortable distance. But underneath those nerves is a little boy who really wants to trust, really wants to belong, and is slowly learning that people can be kind.
Eddie absolutely loves other dogs and comes to life when he gets the chance to play with them. A friendly, confident dog could be a wonderful role model for him and help him continue to learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.
He can still be startled by loud noises and sudden movements, so he’ll need a calm, patient home that won’t rush him. Give him a warm, comfy bed and a good meal, something he very much looks forward to, and Eddie is a happy boy.
He’s not looking for someone who expects an instant best friend. He’s looking for someone who will give him the time and space to become one.
With patience, consistency and lots of gentle encouragement, Eddie has so much potential to become a beautiful, loyal companion. Watching this boy learn to trust and realise that he is finally home will make it all worthwhile.
