Dior is a sweet and placid girl. She currently lives with two human foster parents and two doggy foster siblings.
She hasn’t had a great start in life and is quite timid at the moment, she easily becomes nervous in new situations. Although she makes good progress in learning not to be scared all the time, she will require a quiet home and a patient family who will give her time, space and loving guidance to come out of her shell.
She loves food and responds well to gentle training.
She sleeps through the night without a peep and her toilet training is progressing well.
She likes other dogs and gets on well with them. Although she may be scared, she has never been aggressive or barky and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.
Dior is looking for a patient and loving home to help her to learn how to be a dog and a loved family member. In return, she will give back a lifetime of unconditional love and loyal companionship.
Dior can have episodes of Shar-Pei recurrent fever syndrome. This syndrome is triggered by stress.
It is a hereditary condition that affects nearly one in four Shar-Pei dogs. Affected dogs experience recurrent episodes of fever and inflammation, with no identifiable underlying cause.
We recommend reading up on the condition before applying.
Dior is currently on Cochinine 0.5mg - 2/3rd of a tablet daily to prevent Sharpei Fever, she has not had an episode since. It costs $12 for a bottle and lasts just over a month.
