Hi my name is Cookie!
My foster family say I'm the biggest sweetheart. I've had a rough start to life and am now looking for somewhere to call my forever home. I'm an easy going and quiet girl with a calm nature. I love lazing around the house, tasty treats and belly scratches!! I'm not at all bothered by birds when they land in the yard.
I am quick to learn and know how to sit, stay and shake. I'm also toilet trained and will let you know when I want to go out. I rarely bark and walk well on lead. I love to say hi to everyone when out and about.
Even though I love everyone and am very patient with young children, I would prefer a quiet home with older kids.
HEALTH WAIVER:
Cookie has undergone heartworm treatment for just over 5 months.
We have retested her 1 month after treatment ended and unfortunately it is still positive. This is common for dogs to still test positive as the heartworm protein and antigens can still be detected so soon after. Her microflaria test is negative meaning no new heartworm eggs or larvae are present. Heartworm has a lifespan of 210 days.
It is recommended that Cookie has another heartworm test in 9 months. This will be paid by Lucky Paws Dog Rescue at our approved Lucky Paws vet. If the dog is still positive Lucky Paws will pay for another round of heartworm treatment at our approved Lucky Paws vet.
