Carly is a sweet, affectionate girl who has settled beautifully into foster care and is ready to find her forever family.
She loves people, enjoys giving kisses, and is fantastic with children. Carly would thrive in a home with another friendly dog, as she absolutely adores her large-breed foster brother. She'd likely do well with a social smaller dog too, but she hasn't been tested with cats.
Since arriving in care, she's grown in confidence every day. Everyday things like the TV, phones and household noises were all new to her, but she's adapted incredibly well.
We're only just introducing her to walks, so she's currently enjoying short sniffy walks while she builds her fitness and confidence.
Carly is learning quickly, she already knows how to sit and her recall is improving with positive reinforcement. She's mostly toilet trained (with just a couple of accidents) and has slept through the night every night in foster care.
When Carly arrived she was very underweight, but she's steadily gaining weight and looking healthier each week.
Like many dogs who have experienced food insecurity, Carly loves her food! She's not food aggressive but will happily help herself to another dog's meal if given the chance, so feeding separately while she continues her training is recommended.
Carly is a resilient, loving girl with so much affection to give. She's looking for a family who will continue building her confidence and give her the love she deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend with endless kisses and unconditional love.
