Bob is a big softie at heart and very gentle for a larger sized boy.
Bob gets along well with other dogs, big and small. He has no issues with food or sharing. He has just learnt how to play with toys and enjoys having his own to play with.
He had just about mastered the sit for food and were working on the wait.
He lays down to play with smaller dogs and gets the zoomies but he is a bit too slow for the other faster dogs. Bob is true to his Maremma breed and loyal and protective of his loved ones. He has been great with kids of all ages and absolutely adores his people.
Bob hasn’t spent a great deal of time inside before he arrived in foster care, he doesn’t get up on the lounge or bed although if he is hot overnight he will sneak up on the lounge when his foster parents have gone to bed for a few hours.
Bob would be best with another dog or someone home often. He barely gets separation anxiety but he has always been with other dogs.
He definitely gets a little separation anxiety initially but has settled - not sure how he would go being only dog. He will use the dog door if he needs to go to the toilet.
HEALTH WAIVER:
Bob has had Entropion Surgery in his left eye. Entropion is a condition in which the eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the dog's eye. He is recovering well and this should not cause any further issues in that eye.
