I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Biggie

I'm Available
Meet Biggie – A Gentle Giant With a Heart of Gold

Biggie is an XL American Bully with a huge presence and an even bigger capacity for love. Weighing in at over 50kg, he may look imposing, but he is truly a soft‑hearted, gentle soul who just wants affection, comfort, and a family to call his own.

Biggie hasn’t had the easiest start in life, and many everyday things are still new to him. That said, the progress he’s made recently has been nothing short of incredible. With patience, the right support, and a different training approach, he is blossoming more every day.

🌱 Recent Progress & Updates

  • He mastered stairs just last week – a huge milestone! He now confidently cruises up and down as if he’s always done it.
  • He now has a toy box and favourite toys, and it’s been beautiful watching him learn how to enjoy them.

💛 Personality & Temperament

  • Exceptionally gentle, sweet‑natured, and emotionally soft
  • Very people‑oriented and loves being right beside you
  • Thinks he’s a lap dog and often forgets his size
  • Loves cuddles, kisses, and quiet companionship
  • Great with kids over 10 years – patient, tolerant, and loving (though his big bum may accidentally knock little ones over, usually to their delight!)
  • Very calm in the home

🐾 Training & Behaviour

  • Fully house trained
  • Eats well and isn’t fussy; enjoys grazing on dry food through the day
  • Learning new skills steadily and responding well to calm, consistent handling
Dog interactions: Biggie has generally been uninterested in other dogs out and about but needs to your your one and only in the home. He isn’t keen on sharing his fave people.

🏠 Daily Life With Biggie

  • Happy to be left alone for 5–6 hours, though he strongly prefers human company
  • Enjoys both indoor and outdoor time but must sleep indoors
  • Loves relaxing, lounging, and watching TV – especially tennis, which absolutely fascinates him
Biggie would thrive in a loving, patient home that understands he’s still learning about the world and gaining confidence in his body.

Ideal home setup:
  • A single‑level or low‑set home is ideal
  • If there are stairs, carpeted stairs are best
  • Minimal slippery flooring where possible
  • A calm, low‑energy environment that matches his gentle nature
Biggie is a deeply affectionate, loyal boy who forms strong bonds with his people. Despite his rough start, he is healing, learning, and showing more personality every day. He is a truly beautiful dog with so much love to give, and with the right family, he will continue to shine.

💙 Biggie doesn’t need perfection – he just needs someone willing to love him.
HEALTH WAIVER:

Due to Biggie’s large breed, his front legs knuckle when he walks, his top toes can drag on the ground so he needs soft bedding and surfaces. He is hesitant on timber/tiles/polished flooring so much prefers carpeted floors. Biggie has been mostly outside all his life so being inside is new and lovely for him!

Biggie is prone to re-occurring ear infections so needs his ears regularly cleaned (weekly) to prevent wax build up.

He also has two enlarged nipples which are causing him no issues.

Biggie is currently being treated for heartworm. This treatment is included in the adoption fee and will need to be done at an approved Lucky Paws Vet in SE QLD. We will also pay for another heartworm test in 9 months. If the dog is still positive Lucky Paws will pay for another round of heartworm treatment at our approved Lucky Paws vet.
