Hi! My name is Ben and I am looking for a very special person or family to love. I am a beautiful boy inside and out and will become a sensational boy when I am fully grown.
My foster parents tell me every day how pretty I am. What I love most of all is people and other dogs. I am still very much a puppy, so older children are best for me as I occasionally jump up when I am excited.
I have been moved around a bit before I came into care, so that has left me with a little bit of separation anxiety. In my foster home I am completely fine as I have other dogs with me for guidance and reassurance. I am currently living with an 8 year old kelpie, 6 year old border collie and 4 puppies. At 7 months old I have a lot of puppy traits myself, so playing with the puppies is so much fun! I am really gentle around them. I must say though, I do not like the cats that live here. I am a little too full on for them and they are too small.
I am housetrained and am a good watch dog as I am following my foster brother and sister’s lead. I also like to chase birds but I will never harm them. I have a very cheeky nature, and like all shepherds, I like to ‘talk’ to you by whining. I have a lot to say at dinner time!
I love being in the car and I absolutely love my toys. I am not too bad on the lead, but I will need further training. My forever home would be best with some shepherd experience as my breed takes a long time to mature. That makes me super fun, but also requires a lot of patience.
I love to snuggle with my foster mum, dad and kids after having a big play. I recently discovered the hammock and love to sit on top of my human family when they are in there. I am a very gentle boy and will respect every dog I meet, and every human too. I can be fed around other dogs with no issues at all. I need some work on taking food gently out of hands, but I know I will get there.
I have so much potential to be a loving family dog; but please do not apply for me unless you are willing to do some training with me. That is essential for all shepherds. When you meet me, you will see me as a funny, charismatic, and beautiful boy who just wants to be loved like I truly deserve. I look forward to meeting you soon.
