Hi, my name is Banjo! My foster mum said I'm happy, friendly and loving boy who is very eager to please.
I love people and other dogs but my foster Mum says what makes me special is that I am also good with just my own company. You can leave me alone for a couple of hours and I won't have a meltdown or a sook. I'll happily chew on a bone or think about life quietly until you come home.
Don't get me wrong though, my foster Mum also says I am just a big baby when it comes to getting cuddles and pats. Sometimes I forget that I am a strong, muscular 30 kilo dog when I give you a cuddle. But my foster Mum says I give the best cuddles ever and she loves having a cuddle with me. Apparently my nickname is "marshmallow" 'cause that's what I'm made of inside.
I love going for walks and I now have a harness which makes me feel very important. I am excellent to walk with and only pull for a few minutes due to excitement. Then I am a good boy and walk at whatever place you like, with a few sniffs included.
I know my name is Banjo and will come to you when called. I know how to sit on command. When told to "back up" I will wait by the kitchen door until my foster Mum wants me to come in. I will definitely come to you if you have a small treat in your hand. Which brings me to my favourite subject - food.
Boy oh boy do I love my food. Which is a good thing, 'cause it makes me easy to train.
I've been with my foster family for 6 weeks and had been through a fair bit before being fostered. This hasn't stopped me from bonding with my foster family and their pets, which includes an old cavalier King Charles spaniel, Teddy. He's a fraction of my size and soooo old but he's got me fooled. I am very respectful towards him and any other dogs I meet. I do like dogs my size or bigger too, and had a great play date with a fellow Bull Arab. We were inseparable. I like girl dogs and boy dogs of all ages. As long as they're friendly, so am I.
I would make a wonderful addition to a family, especially with older kids who can deal with my size. I am loyal and loving. My good looks are equally matched with a beautiful personality. My foster Mum says I am the kind of dog anyone would be lucky to have. I hope to meet my forever family soon.
