Alfie is an exceptionally lovely dog with a beautiful nature.
He may take a short time to settle into a new environment, but no more than most dogs, and he adjusts well with a little patience and consistency.
Alfie absolutely adores people and gives the best cuddles. He is incredibly loyal and, once you’re “his person,” he’s happiest right by your side, quietly waiting for guidance and enjoying your company.
He also has a good level of obedience, including an absolute cracker recall.
That said, he has a nice independent side too. Once he’s comfortable in his environment, Alfie can happily stay home alone for several hours without any issues. He initially suffered from separation anxiety due to being abandoned in the pound but is coming along in leaps and bounds.
He’s a fun dog to have around—easy to live with, engaging, and just an all-round enjoyable companion.
He is generally very good with other dogs and has a tolerant nature, often putting up with a lot. However, when he’s had enough, he will calmly and appropriately set his boundaries.
