Hi, my name is Bluey! I’m a friendly, clever and active boy who is looking for a loving family!
My start in life wasn’t great but I am getting better everyday. I would prefer a home with another dog or two to play with, as I get pretty lonely by myself. I am great with female dogs of any size and my foster mum says I’m very gentle with my two fur sisters. I’m not so keen on hanging out with male dogs though, I’m more of a ladies man.
I’m patient and polite with food and I’m toilet trained. I also know how to use a doggy door. I love family time inside at night, but I don’t need to be on your lap, just near you, on the floor or on my bed is fine. I am then happy to sleep on my bed all night!
I have a lot of energy, so I’m not sure the city/suburban lifestyle is for me. Inside isn’t where I enjoy spending my days. I would be much happier having some room to move. I love running around the farm with my foster mum and dad, and I sleep so much better if I have the chance to go for big runs each day. I will bark at the cows when I go for a run, but I don’t chase them and I stop as soon as they whistle to me. I even leave the chooks alone but they have always been contained in their pen. I do tend to chase the cat so need a home without felines.
I can be anxious in new situations but I’m learning that there is no need to be scared now. I’m learning how to walk on a lead and my recall is amazing, so when you give me a whistle, I’ll be straight there!
My foster mum tells me I am amazing and she is so proud of how far I have come during my time with her. Please take a chance on me, I promise I will give you so much love back!
