Hi, I’m Marmaduke. I’m not your average puppy.. literally.. I’m big! With huge paws and an even bigger heart. Even though life hasn’t started out the greatest for me, I’m still a glass half full kind of guy.
I like meeting new people and while I’m a little shy at first, I’m not afraid to go up and say hi (and of course get a pat while I’m there).
I’m good with kids over 8 and cats and chickens don’t seem to phase me that much. I’m untested with kids under 8 but my foster mum reckons I’d be so good as I love everyone, but because of my size I’d be more suited to older kids.
I’m still learning basic commands and working on my manners, but I’m very food motivated so I know I will learn quickly. I play well with my foster sister (who is a dominant female kelpie cross), but I get food possessive so will need to be separated when getting fed until I learn that there will always be food for me.
I would be happy to have a fur sibling to keep me company, but I also wouldn’t mind being an only dog. All I really want is a forever home with people around me who love me and will spend time with me.
