If you are looking for an easy going dog to spend your days with, you can’t go past Diesel. Diesel adores people and other dogs around his size or larger of all ages. He is deaf however this does not set him back in the slightest.
Diesel is a very alert, happy boy, always eager to please, with the sweetest nature. Diesel likes to be in close proximity to his people when they are home, but in saying that he likes his independence just as much. He will drop and sleep almost anywhere, as he’s not quite used to having a bed of his own yet.
Diesel is a lovely little shadow that will nudge your hand or arm for a pat, a play or a cuddle. He will happily keep you company in the home and garden and on your daily walks. He is constantly watching his surroundings which makes it easy for us to sign or wave to him, he seems to love his treats which have been helping assist with his basic training. During meal times he is quite conservative with his food, he has learnt which bowl is his and is currently learning to sit for his food.
Diesel copes well when left home alone from time to time, however he has spent most days with another large even-tempered female outside while his foster family are out for the day. He is house trained, and tends to give clear signals when he needs to go outside.
He walks quite well on a lead but his foster family are helping him work on his confidence as he may freeze when he is unsure of anything.
His face lights up when his people come home to play with him. He's not a big fan of toys but we find he will happily take them out of the box and place them around the yard. He likes being up on the trampoline or digging water in the shell pool. One of his little quirks we have noticed is that he will stick the tip of his tongue out for comfort when he is sleepy. He truly is a beautiful boy, with the cutest little expressive face and has been winning hearts with almost everyone he meets.
