Hi friends, my name is Clancy! I know I’m really, really ridiculously good looking but I’m also the sweetest, most gentle, happy and loving boy you could hope to meet (I only weigh 18kg!).
I am a very special boy looking for an extra special, calm and peaceful home, so read on to understand my needs if you have lots of patience and love to share.
I do the funniest happy dance when I see you in the morning - and win people over wherever I go with my gentle, placid nature and general cuteness. I am also very affectionate and want all your pats and cuddles, which I will gladly lap up all day long (a gentle paw will tell you if you’re slacking off).
I might be a border collie, but I'm not very active. I'm happy with a slow paced walk once a day.
I would love my new family to work from home or be retired and have a fun backyard where I can happily follow you around as you the do the gardening, pottering about and having adventures. Being with my humans is EVERYTHING to me, so I must be allowed to be inside the house with you and part of family life - I love nothing more than napping at your feet or hanging by the kitchen while you are cooking. And when you need to go out and do human stuff for a few hours, I will be the bestest of boys and wait patiently and calmly for you.
I am mostly house trained, though do have the occasional mishap still, so will need someone understanding and patient to take me out often and keep showing me the ropes.
I am very content sleeping in the laundry and if you take me out last thing at night, I will sleep right through until morning. And unlike most teenagers, when you tell me to go to bed, I usually will!
I love playing with my foster fur sister and my confidence has gone up so much being with a relaxed and gentle female dog. I would be happy with a gentle female dog who is happy to share their humans or happy as your one and only.
I can still be timid at times and do have some anxiety, which is being managed, so if you could keep helping me increase my confidence through gentle socialisation that would be wonderful. I am scared of medium to big size dogs, barking ones, and around some people at first though, so please be patient and reassure me as I will hide behind you to feel safe!
My foster Mum says whoever becomes my new family is going to be sooo lucky to have me in their life.
Look beyond my beautiful face, and you’ll find the sweetest of souls, looking for a special, gentle home and all the love and affection I deserve. I can’t wait to give you all the love in the world in return!
Clancy’s ideal home is :
- Lowset with a big backyard
- Work from home or retired and mostly home.
- Indoor/outdoor
- No children under 12.
I am 1 year old.
