Attention cattle dog lovers! Do you find it hard to pick whether you like blue or red cattle dogs best? Well my name is Chilli and I’m the solution to your dilemma! I’m a unique girl with traits of both colours - I have mainly darker red/brown colouring but I also have blue dusting in patches through my coat! Plus I also have a little kink at the end of my tail which my foster parents think is adorable and just adds to what makes me so special!
Despite looking a bit different, I am a cattle dog through and through… I am confident, happy, playful and brimming with energy. I spend my days wrestling with my sister and exploring in the yard, what more could you want! I do love my humans too and enjoy cuddles and quiet time with them when I’ve spent all my energy, nothing like a snuggle in their laps!
As you would expect from my breed I am extremely intelligent and had basic training down pat within the first week. I can sit, stay, lay down and shake hands, plus I know how to wait patiently at meal time and take food gently from your hand. However I do still have lots to learn and being a cattle dog I am still nippy and learning how to be gentle with my teeth especially when I’m excited.
Being a working breed dog I will need a home with a large yard and an active family who will make sure that I get not only plenty of exercise, but also enough mental stimulation to keep me happy and content. I would be best suited to a family that understands the needs of the cattle dog breed.
