Merlot is a very affectionate, laid‑back boy with a gentle nature and a love for his people. He’s incredibly smart and highly food‑motivated, which makes him eager to please and quick to learn. He already knows how to sit and is doing a great job mastering “leave it.”
He adores cuddles and prefers being close to his humans — he’s a bit of a velcro dog who thrives on companionship. While he enjoys playtime, he’s definitely on the relaxed side and prefers low‑energy fun rather than anything involving a lot of running.
Merlot is crate trained and keeps his space clean. He’ll let you know when he needs to go out during the night. That said, he feels most secure sleeping near his people (or even in bed with them!) and may settle best with his crate close to the bed — especially with a familiar scent like your shirt.
