Oliver is a little cutie. He looks like a scruffy kid when his coat is longer (he’s just had a groom - he was a bit tangled when he arrived). Either way, he is a gorgeous little man.
Oliver loves to go on walks and he’s suit someone who like to go on slow walks. His specialty is sniff walks as he loves to check out everything along the way. He occasionally gets up a bit of steam but that doesn’t last long. I find the gentle amble a really soothing experience. He is quite comfortable on a ½ to 1 hour walk. He usually manages that twice a day (he doesn’t have a backyard in his current home so the walks could be replaced with a romp around the backyard if one is available).
I think Oliver would love to have a sibling – another dog for his to play with and follow around the house. At the moment, he follows me wherever I might be in the house and also love to have a good cuddle on the lounge. He loves hugs. He’s quite good as a lap dog but doesn’t stay that long. He likes to have a cuddle and then go a bit further down the couch to have a nap while you’re sitting there.
Oliver was terrified when he arrived – he found the pound a very scary place. He has built a lot of confidence since then but he’ll still sneak behind your legs if anything scary happens. If he goes to a household with another dog, he might be very cautious to start with but will gain confidence in no time at all.
Oliver has a delightful personality and will settle in to any home where he is loved.
