I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Panda

I'm Available
Meet Panda!

Panda came into foster care a rather broken young dog. He had never been loved, welcomed into a family, not even allowed inside or given freedom to share his beautiful personality. He has grown in confidence immensely and is learning to love life, he adores his foster family, and is realising how much fun playing around can be.

As a border collie, Panda is very energetic and loves his walks. He would need a family who have the means to provide at least one good walk each day. He is very well behaved and comes when his name is called. Panda has been living with young children and is incredibly gentle. He is very patient and does not snatch any food or treats even when placed right in front of his nose.

Panda believes that he was meant to be a lap dog, and will do everything to snuggle up with you on the couch. He has come to love his humans and still has the early puppy energy of wanting to be around them all the time. As Panda’s previous life was one of neglect and isolation outdoors, and he has now adapted to a loving family environment, it is crucial that his future home allow him inside with the family.

Panda is very intelligent, but he missed out on important early learning and understanding structured rules. He would benefit from specific and consistent command training to enhance his recall and learning. A new home for Panda would need to have a large enough yard for him to run around in, a family where he won’t be on his own too much, and preferably another dog who will want to have fun with him.

Panda has every trait needed to be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun best friend, but he will also need structure, presence, patience, ongoing engagement, and bucket loads of love in his new home.

HEALTH WAIVER:

Panda's teeth have been worn down, likely due to flea allergy and at this stage do not require extractions.

Panda came into care with conjunctivitis, he has slight thickening on the right lower eyelid that is likely associated with previous injury/scarring; this does not require any intervention. Also sadly living life chained up on concrete he has some hair loss (chain around his neck and pressure sores from living on concrete).
