Introducing BUTTERCUP…. a bright bundle of joy & energy with the sweetest nature. She’s a pup that’s so happy to see you first thing in the morning that she literally bounces.
Buttercup’s been eager to learn & so easy to train. She:
• is doing extremely well with toilet training
• will “sit”, “drop” & “come” when called
• knows “inside”, “outside”, “ignore” & “off” (off the couch & off the bed)
• has great manners when greeting visitors
• has started leash training
Currently working on:
• sitting & waiting for food &
• helping build her confidence outside of her foster home & beyond members her foster family
Buttercup loves playing with the two pups in her foster home — one medium breed and one large breed — so she’s comfortable with dogs of different sizes. She enjoys chasing, chewing & tug of war. She loves plush toys, rope toys, squeaky toys, bouncy toys, chew toys, well, basically all toys!
She thrives on connection & loves being around her people. As a Kelpie x, she’ll grow into an intelligent, active companion who’ll love enrichment, training & simply just being included.
Buttercup would be fine in a home with or without kids, with or without another dog & with or without someone being home all the time, BUT…. puppies shouldn’t have to be on their own (what’s the point in a pet if you’re not going to spend time with it??).
The best home for Buttercup would be somewhere where there’s someone home often, even if that’s just while she’s settling in as she’s only spent small amounts of time on her own so far.
Another pup would be good but isn’t essential.
After a meet & greet with Buttercup, you’ll see that a puppies initial rough start to life doesn’t have to be the thing that defines them.
