Meet Bailey – 100% a little pocket rocket! Bailey is a tiny dog with a cheeky confidence, however, her size does not hold her back. She is quick, agile, and energetic, easily jumping onto couches and beds where she loves to perch. Fluffy cushions and blankets are her second favourite things after her humans! Bailey’s personality mixes the comical dachshund playfulness with the sometimes stubborn and bossy Chihuahua!
Bailey has settled well into foster care and loves being doted on. She does take a moment to warm up to new people, and she is still unsure of and getting used to male adults. She has been making progress with her male foster carer and is growing in confidence every day. Time, patience, and slow advancements have been working so far. Once settled in, she adores attention and given the chance she will make herself at home on your lap or snuggle up with you in bed. She has been surrounded by children and is always eager to play with them, but she would prefer to approach them rather then they approach her. In saying that – when she hears her name called she will come running as she will never pass up the opportunity for attention!
Bailey loves playing with her toys – the squeakier the better! She loves having them thrown for her to chase. She enjoys some late afternoon zoomies in the yard and is always alert looking for her next adventure. She is quite loyal, and will follow her main human around the home almost wherever they go. She would do well with a family that has someone home most days, as she may experience some unsettledness if left alone often. She is fairly well toilet-trained as long as she has access to outside, and knows how to sit on command.
Bailey will bring many laughs and a lot of love to her forever home. She would suit either a family home or a home with adults, either of which that have an easy going vibe and someone willing to play and cuddle with her every day.
