Duchess is truly gorgeous, with all the intelligence and sensitivity her breed is known for. But unlike many confident collies, she carries a deep timidity that shapes every part of her behaviour. Because of this, it is absolutely critical that she finds a home with someone who can offer patience, calmness, and a genuinely safe, understanding environment. Duchess must have a calm, patient, friendly and placid dog friend, she currently resides with another Border Collie who she adores.
Duchess has made wonderful progress,she will now come sit beside you and gently rest her head on your lap, seeking comfort from someone she trusts. But it’s just as important to know she will not be the sort of dog that will come running up to you for affection at the meet & greet, she will most likely be avoidant and shy.
We are looking for someone exceptional someone who understands that Duchess will need time, patience, and consistent love before she can truly trust. She has so much potential, and with the right person, she will continue to blossom. But this is a commitment that requires awareness, dedication, and a deep respect for her emotional boundaries.
