Hi, I'm Mate. I'm gentle, friendly, and love being part of the family.
I'm amazing with kids, even babies and toddlers who poke, prod, and giggle all over me. I give gentle kisses, take food from tiny hands without grabbing, and never steal what's not offered. I know my basic commands like sit and go to bed.
At home, l'm affectionate and love burying my head into you for cuddles and ear scritches. If I need to go out, I'll just stand at the door to let you know.
I love my walks and saying hello to all the neighbourhood dogs. Even the loud, barky ones behind fences - I usually just trot past or sniff politely. I'm active, strong, and I can still run up stairs, and handle long walks easily.
I am friendly with most dogs and love to wrestle with other big, playful dogs - however I need to be the only pet in the home as I like to be your one and only.
I like to play a game of tug or the first half of fetch every now and then, but other times I like to lie on the deck and watch the local wildlife.
I'm also a great passenger in the car and behave beautifully at work or when left at home. No barking, no chewing - just snoozing until you're back.
I'm easy with meals — I eat what I need and enjoy a bit of pet mince. No food guarding, no stealing, no fussing. I even eat my worming tablets by themselves.
