Hi, I'm Koda, I'm as sweet as a cupcake and as fierce as a lion all rolled into one.
I’ve had a very tough life and was found in a crate on the side of the road with my doggy friend, still lactating and missing my babies. Despite this, I'm still incredibly affectionate and will wrap my body around you to go to sleep and want to be touching you all the time. I'll even prompt you to pat me if you stop!
Whilst I will love you to bits, when I first meet you I will pretend not to like you. This is all a facade and once you get me home, we will be besties. It is likely I have lived all my life with other dogs however my foster mum can't be sure. She also thinks I haven't been alone so I will need a human that's home most of the time and even better if you have a doggy friend for me to play with.
I’m currently living with a small and large dog. I gave the giant dog a pretty hard time at first, but that's because I was scared of her and wanted to protect my friend and humans. But now I can see she is lovely and we're all good friends. I will most likely do the same to another dog friend at first so need a dog who is non reactive so I can settle.
I'm going to need someone who understands my breed and has patience to work through my insecurities and tend to my health. Please don’t expect a perfect dog as I am far from it. All I can offer you is a loyal and devoted best friend. My foster family has really helped me and I cannot thank them enough - I am now ready to find my forever family.
I'm currently being treated for my heartworm and you wouldn't know I have it.
HEALTH WAIVER:
Koda is currently being treated for heartworm. This treatment is included in the adoption fee and will need to be done at an approved Lucky Paws Vet in SE QLD. We will also pay for another heartworm test in 9 months. If the dog is still positive Lucky Paws will pay for another round of heartworm treatment at our approved Lucky Paws vet.
